Project Overview
The ZICTA 80 Towers Portfolio is a telecommunications infrastructure initiative aimed at extending network coverage to underserved areas through the construction of tower sites at key community institutions, particularly schools. In Southern Province, the portfolio includes the following sites:
Nansenga Secondary School
Hapuya Primary School
Makuzu Primary School
Kasiya Primary School
St. Mary’s Secondary School
Mahiba Primary School
Kabwe Primary and Secondary School
These sites are located in districts such as Itezhi-Tezhi, Livingstone, Monze, and Namwala. The portfolio primarily uses 55-meter towers, with at least one site requiring a 70-meter tower. Overall, the initiative is designed to improve rural connectivity, strengthen access to communication services, and support broader digital inclusion in the targeted communities.
